changing the pig tail on the dryer?

so we had a 4 prong on the dryer it needs a three prong so where is the ground and do i add a ground to the nut wire and ground it where the 4 prong was grounded,, since the three prong has no ground wire?

the new pig tail is a three prong as you know it has three wires two outside are hot leads the center is nutural, I know that nutural is also ground,, so my ? is to ground the pigtail do i add a ground wire to the nutural wire and then to the units shell ground? I just feel that a groumnd is supose to be used am i mistaken?
