renault clio rt auto 1995?

when i start the car its very roppey and seems like an has cut out sometimes after 10 mins of starting it it settles down but other times it doesnt i also loose a bit power when this happens at the moment it only just got off the drive and wont settle at all any ideas of what causing it please
