Mend Kitchen Innovations Chocolicious Stopped Smoke Turned

How can I fix our chocolate fountain?

Or should I give up and throw it away? It is a kitchen innovation chocolicious. Apparently it stopped after some smoke was seen coming out of it... I have turned it all on again and it heats up but it won't turn. I have taken the bottom off and there is nothing obvious wrong, nothing apparently burnt out or anything. Any suggestions please?
