Mend Aiwa DX-C100M Reset Even After

DX-C100M Won't reset even after check?

I have a Aiwa DX-C100M 100 disc CD changer and have the reset message on the screen. I have tried pressing the stop/clear button and the power button at the same time. It goes into the check mode but won't reset itself, any other suggestions? The changer was given to me with no manual.....help!!!!
