My diplomat dishwasher starts to fill with water, then nothing happens, no flashing lights, I open it up and the water heater hasn't heated up. Thought it might be the thermostat so bought a new one, same problem, nothing happens after water starts filling.
I cleaned all the lines and filters, got the machine running, but it just runs on forever and doesn't heat up. shows error code E2 which doesn't apply to this model according to the dishwasher manual.

Thanks Syl, I'll give that a try. I think the trouble with all these gadgets that are electronically controlled, you always think it's a more complex problem that what it is and don't look at the simple things. I'll feed back if this works or not.

Mine did this a few weeks ago it just needed a good drain unblocker, we eventually got it sorted by removing the pipe at the U bend which was rather disgusting but it unblocked it and it worked perfectly.
