How can i fix my Renault Clio (y reg) Speedo ?

Every now and again my speedo Decides to stop working, i can also tell when it has stopped because the car jolts forward slightly, also if it happens when i 1st start to drive, it will then come back on at the same time as the doors lock automatically, any help ?
