how do i change the seal on my freezer door?

the seal has gone on the door for the freezer part of my ariston fridge freezer.

i called ariston and they sent me a new seal for the door, but now i can't work out how to change it for the one on there already.

the seal seems to have a flap around the back edge to hold it in place around the panel on the inside of the door.
i can't work out how to get the inside panel away from the rest of the door. there are no visible screws - is this just glued in?
if so the glue is ridiculously strong and i am concerned that if i try and force it, i will break something.

any help anyone can give would be very much appreciated!!
