picasso 1600 sx petrol keeps cutting out and wont start again?

my citroen picasso 1600 sx petrol, 2001, will from time to time just stall on me. to get it to start again i have to press the valve in on the end of the injector rail to release fuel and then just wait an hour or two. after that it starts fine and away i go... baffled ???
