Mend Potterton Kingfisher II Boiler Ignition Pilot Light

kingfisher 2 boiler?

How do I relight the pilot light on my Potterton Kingfisher II boiler? As well as the ignition button there appear to be two other controls - one which moves from 0 to Max, another which has three symbols - a flame, a star and a black dot.

turn the knob to the star position depress fully and hold press the ignition button until pilot lights keep the star depressed for a further 20 seconds then let go pilot should remain lit now turn the star to the flame position turn the 0 to max to acentral position this is the thermostat
