Mend Skilsaw 77 Oil Model Shaft

How do I fix the oil leak?

I have an old Skilsaw wormdrive model 77. It is leaking oil around the shaft. I do not know how to get the spring loaded saw gard off so that I can get to the screws holding the seal so that I can replace it.
