Mend Citroen C1 Water Engine Oil

Water in engine oil?

Citroen C1, 2 years old with 3000 miles on the clock. Serviced today and the garage state that there was water in the engine oil. I have to monitor for 2 weeks and have it rechecked. What is the problem and should any work be covered by warranty?

I would agree with wirecutterman, such low mileage is bad for a car. It does not get hot enough to burn off the condensation. You will probably get a lot of other problems too, such as seals failing, valves sticking, piston rings failing, excessive bore wear etc., also the petrol goes "off" when it gets old and leaves a sticky residue through the entire fuel system.
Although I obviously do not know your personal circumstances, I'd suggest that by the time you factor in depreciation, insurance, servicing, etc. etc., you would be cheaper to use a taxi, or just hire a car if you fancy driving yourself.

insufficient mileage being done 3000 miles in 2 years
coupled with short journey's condensation builds up in engine rocker cover
the engine is then not getting hot enough to vaporizer this condensation so it emulsifies with the oil over time
will see a lot of this problem in the winter due to the engines not getting up to temperature
