kenwood dishwasher kdw8st2a?

my dishwasher started playing up tonight. when i commence the standard cycle it pulls in water as usuial but the water is not heating up and the dishwasher is not operating a error code did come up but i cant remember what it said. i bought the dishwasher in Aug 08 am i covered by manuf guarantee
