Mend Scantronic 9427 Sensor System Alarm

How to add an extra sensor to the scantronic system?

Hi all,
I am trying to add an additional sensor to my alarm system, cannot remember model number / name but the keypad is a 9427 keypad.
Do I need to reprogram this extra zone or should the system pick it up?
