cant get a spark from peugeot speedfight after fitting new immobiliser?

Hi my immobilizer light is constantly on and I have the red key but won't kick in it was working fine then went to shop then immobilizer stayed on it wants to start just no spark

hi. my speedfight has been left standing. but was running perfectly before.. now when i try to start it, ther is no spark to the spark plug and the imobiliser light flashes 3 times then goes off. please help. could you reply your answer with the name 'jake' infront of it so i know your talking to me cheers . ! :)

I am having the same problem
There is no spark due to a faulty CDI unit
Try getting one somewhere and fitting that on, i know this as i had it serviced,

its not ur ht lead m8 check all ur wires but i fort it was the ht lead on myn but its the cdi but do u afto code ur cdi wen u fit 1 on or can u just put it strate on ???

i have just bought a 2000 speedfight 100 thats been sitting for 6 years, i put a new battery on it but the red immobiliser l.e.d in the clocks doesnt flash and it has no spark, was a running bike before being stood, it has the single box system on it, any ideas???

did you but the wire front of the lock barrel if at moved you wont get a spark

My cdi has blown up and I have a red key for it, is there no way that I can get a second cdi (aci100) and code my red key to it. If so how do I do that. Or maybe I should just get one of those de-immobilised cdi's

Hi. I bought a peugeot streetfight 50cc 1 week ago. It worked perfectly at 3 days. Then my brother tried my scot, and half of the road it just stoped. I checked everything what I could. I swapped the spark plug, that has no problem. The motor geting petrol and oil. But the spark plug sparking just a little. Almost nothing, not a strong flash.
Do you think it is an immobiliser problem? I tried to recode my key, but that's a same. And not working with red or black key.
Please help, if you have any idea!!!

..i have the same problem ......when i check the HT coil for resistance it reads zero ...so it must be shorted ..the immobiliser cable ring reads like 18 ohms so i guess it's ok ...does anyone have the ohm specs for the coil or immobilizer thing ????

get a new box this messing around to save a few quid isnt worth it we are only here for a short while and you cant take it with you when you go lol

you need to get the key registered to the ecu/imobiliser go to a peugeot dealer

you have to take it to a peugeot dealer, and have it recoded,sorry mate but thats the only way around it

ok mate then you do need the cdi from the bike the keys and immobiliser came from for it to spark,yours should have two boxs that are both square shaped really, if they have sold you an oval shaped one it will not work as this is from a model that only uses the one box.

my bike had 2 boxes one on the steering column and one by the battery i have got the five wires on the back of the ignition barrel,the immobilser i brought is flask shaped my old one says immoo6 on the back and is sort of square shaped if this is any help to you thanks john

ok ,right first have you actually checked the spark plug to see if there is a spark when you yurn the engine over? the spark plug will need to be earthed on a metal part of the engine to see it spark.if its not then either the person who sold you the box and keys have given you a mis matched pair...which is very possible especially if you have got them from a breakers(very dodgy ones about)or it may need coding but yhis is unlikey as this will have been done on the bike they came from.but try it if you like as you said.what i need to know is is the box you bought oval shaped or square as one model has the cdi unit and immobliser built into one unit (oval one)and the other model has two square boxs one for cdi and immobiliser.if you have the model with the square boxs then you also need the cdi from the bike that the immobiliser and locks and keys came from ok it will NOT work otherwise .if you have the oval single box then it should be woking as long as the keys and locks are from the same bike.trust me ive been down this road lots of times.let me know what boxs are on it and i will help you again.the coding is done by putting the red key in then turning the ignition on for 5 secs making sure the battery is charged up fully first and the black key is away from the ignition and you have no radio equipment on then put the black key in and turn on for 5 secs with the red key (again )away from the ignition then repeat again witht the red key (again) witht the black key away from the ignition.then just wait for about 2 minutes and it may work.if it doesnt then the boxs are either wrong or not matched with the chip in the key or the chips in the keys are not the matched ones to the box/s.its a nightmare and peugeot wouldnt like me for telling you how to do it as the charge alot for doing it themselves if you have got them from a breakers i would ask them to show you the set working on a bike or get your money back from them as they will just sell you anything and once they have your money tell you its your fault you cant get it to work,typical bike breakers really they are mainly a load of shisters,:) anyway good luck and sorry this is as long as the bible but its alot of s**t to tell you ,adam

no it was a second hand unit but the keys came with the immobiliser i dont know how to code them if you can help i would be very grateful,i was told to put the red key in turn it on then off then pu the black key in turn that on then off and then put the red key back in and turn on then off again and leave it for twenty mins but i done this and still nothing,i have put new petrol in it as it has been sitting for 6 years and only covered 1200kms thanks john

ps was it a brand new immobiliser unit you fitted or a secondhand one?

Did you code the new immobiliser unit with the red and black key?it needs to be done with no radios or other radio equipment running in the immediate area.let me know if you have coded them if not i will tell you the sequence to do it in .if you have then there are a few other possibilities as to why it will not spark like an ariel proble for the immobiliser or the primary ignition coil in the stator or the secondary ignition coil or even a problem with the ignition switch

yeh mate im in the same problem. no sparks coming from spark plug. It might be our CDI or HT coil. but im not sure. wait for an answer from the bike man
