Mend Freezer Thermostat Appliance

what is wrong with my freezer?

Hi i have a intregated freezer and it alarms and go into super freeze then i have to put it on max setting but only problem is it makes icecream really hard, this happens everyday.
Does this mean i need a new board which controls the themostat controller?
