dashboard gone off renault scenic 05?

I have recently also had this problem. My dash flickered for about a week, then went completely blank. I contacted my local renault service centre and have now had it replaced for £100. Renault know there is a problem with any 2004-2005 instrument panels and so foot the rest of the bill to replace. It came back with 0 miles on the clock, but they also sent a letter confirming the last recorded mileage from my last MOT, and that it has been reset due to a genuine error. This should suffice for any further potential buyers when I sell it on in years to come. Very satisfied with the Renault service.

This is a recognised fault by Renault. Originally dealers were charging over £500 to replace the dash. Renault will now arrange for out of warranty cars to have it repaired for much less but you are best speaking to the Renault complaints desk. It will not correct itself and will only go worse. It probably will also rack up your mileage each time it goes off. I recommend you make a note of your mileage when the fault started. I had mine repaired by a company for £200 but when Renault recognised it as a fault I was able to claim £100 back.

it happened to a friend of mine and he anded up buying a new instrument cluster. its a comon fault with them
