since i changed the starter motor on my 1995 vauxhall corsa and reconnected the battery the engine management light is staying on and the relay is not activating so there is no power going to the starter motor. i thought maybe the immobiliser but i am not sure if my car has one fitted any idea what it could be.
the eml only goes out when the engine is running. if you fitted a 2nd hand starter are you sure its ok.are you sure the wiring you reconnected is right.did you make sure the starter earth is connected securely at the starter.do you have 12v at the solenoid ,the smaller of the wires with the ignition on,if you do not have 12v you have faulty wiring from the battery or a faulty ignition switch.can your car be jump started.is the battery ok.
