Advice regarding Bosch washing machine model WFR 2860?

My Bosch washer (model WFR 2860) has a fault whereby it starts the programme (adding detergent displayed) and then moves on to displaying autoload adjust. After a couple of minutes it then empties and goes to ready mode. It then either does this again or works correctly. So far it has not failed to start on the second or third attempt.
After the first successful wash, subsequent washes during the day work perfectly. It just happens on the first wash of the day after it has not been used for 12+ hours. Also, when it fails the time digits on the display show some unreadable characters for about 3 seconds before reverting to the time.
To me it points to a PCB fault. Would appreciate your advice.
