I have a storm door in front of my front door - it's an inexpensive one with a fixed screen and glass that moves up and down so it can be closed for winter but open for summer. There's no obvious brand on the door.
The handle on the storm door is broken. If I remove it, can it be replaced with a generic storm door handle, is there is such a thing?
you can if the holes line up on the handle with the new one. Otherwise you have to drill new holes. You can find replacement handles in any home improvement big box store.

your assumption is correct as manufacturers use stock items to build almost everything, take it off and if need be a locksmith will tell you if its any differant from the norm, but i dought if it is.
