how to repair 1.8 diesel cam belt?

if you are asking about a 1.8 ford then all timming marks are visible.camshaft pulley marked with [0] crank marked with pointers aline largest pointer;fuel pump marked with[.][DOT] if the mark for fuel pump not there then remove Number 1 injector pipe from fuel pump turn pump until fuel is dispensed at the first sign of fuel stop this can be assumed as top dead centre then aline all other marks but if you had taken the time to lock the engine in place before you would not have a problem.
