Mend Creda Halogen Concept Oven Electric Fault

top & bottom oven on creda halogen concept not working?

I have bought a secondhand creda halogen concept
Wired it in and found all top plates work fine,but both ovens remain cold.The lights on the controls don't light.but i don't know if they only come on at temprature.Also the front control is flashing auto,and i can't get it out of this mode.Apart from a visit to the tip,any suggestions.
