Same thing happened to my daughter's. First, remove door panel. Start at lower edge at hinge side, pull panel and it will unclip, approx six plastic panel clips hold it. Then slide it upwards over the lock button to remove the panel, this will allow access to the control rods. The only way to go from here is to rattle the control rod back and forth to try and operate the lock. This is the only way I know to get the door to open. Hope this is of help.
