Did my plumber put corrosion inhibitor in my CH system?
We just had a new boiler fitted and my plumber claims to have flushed the system and used a corrosion inhibitor. I just bled one of the radiators to remove some air and the air smelled sulphurous and the water when it bled out was black. That all sounds like corrosion to me? Any thoughts please
Try taking a sample of water from the radiator and put it in a small pot. put in an Iron nail. See if it rusts. Fernox used to demonstate their products in each kit by this method.
