Faulty programme switch on Bosch WFB 2005?

The programme switch is on the far left hand side of the Bosch WFB 2005 or at the opposite end to the soap tray. This appears to be a mechanical problem; the knob on the front panel turns freely and appears not to engage the switch mechanism. I guess it is a broken knob or a seized switch and broken knob. I have removed the top of the machine but cannot work out how to remove the switch panel to ascertain the problem in more detail. Any ideas?

My white(power on/off)button cracked inside and cannot function properly so I had to open the facia panel.

I've just opened my Bosch, WFB 2005 Facia panel after a lot of pulling, pushing and forcing. There are five clips at the top and bottom and two clips on every side.
Nothing broke.

Now I can replace my on/off button then everything will work again!

Two parts to this switch. Usually the problem is in the outer part whish is only a few pounds which can be purchased from bosch/siemens/neff parts supplier. You need to remove th entire plastic fascia. Only one screw - Phillips behind soap tray, then a few plastic tabs to be pushed - one on each end and a few on the lower which can be access from the inside. Keep applying pressure as the tabs slip out. The four rocker switches will come with you - don't worry, it won't all fall into pieces!!. The knob is easy to remove and replace. Have fun but I suggest you check for broken parts before ordering anything. I needed the two parts to the switch as I removed the outer part and showed my wife how to operate machine with pliers while awaiting delivery of the outer part. This damaged the part remaining and I had to purchase the entire front bexel - cost 50 Euro (I'm from Ireland)
