Mend TomTom XL

TomTom ,XL,Touch sreen jumps around from inon to icon ,when i touch it ?

I have a TomTom XL . The touch screen jumps around when I try to chang the founction . After I finelly get it on the right screen and following it to the destination, it will go back to the navigation to ,screen . When i try to put it back on the direction screen , and touch the screen ,it jumps around to different founctions . What Do I Do???
