Mend Zanussi TC485W Drum Belt

fix drum belt for Zanussi TC485W?

I have been provided with a new belt by a reputable supplier and it is the same length as the broken one. When I fit it over the drum and belt tensioner on the motor spindle the belt is slack by about 2 inches and I cannot see anyway of making it tighter. Is this right or have I been given the wong belt

This is correct and you have fitted it wrong.push the motor as far inwards as you can and then fit the belt over drum and motor shaft.when you release motor it tensions up on the back of the belt
