hi,is there any body who would no how to open the boot of my signum 05 , it is open slightly but wont open or close any, iam unable to open at many attemps, can door be openned any way from inside , thanks james

push the tailgate firmly so that it is shut, then give it a sharp rap with the heel of your fist to the left of the raised number plate light cover, then pull up the tailgate as you would normally. It should open. This is a common fault unfortunately. Mine fixed itself after several months of the same problem. However. Mine refused to start today, even though the fuel and electrics are fine. The garage is baffled.

yes my boot stuck now.on inside of my 54 is a small rubber gromit,size of 10p coin.screw driver it off then poke driver into hole and find slot and turn.

i have the same problem mines a 54 plate and theres no release from the inside but i found if you put key in drivers door and turn left twice then right the windows come down and then try the key fob its working for me at the moment

I have an 03 plate signum and had exactly the same problem. If you drop the seat and get into the boot there is a release catch in the middle of the boot panel, you can't miss it. just put a screw driver( i just used the car key) in the slot and turn. It even has arrows telling you which way to turn it. I've only had the problem since friday so am still looking for a solution as my boot release won't do anything.
