how can i fix my hotpoint tumble dryer?

i av a hotpoint aquarius ctd40 when its plugged in the powers on then when you press start it trips all the electric off.

Depending on model, there are usualy two thermostats on the rear near heater. One is a temp control stat, the other a one shot overheat stat which blows if overheating occurs. The stats MUST be relaced as a pair. A coloured dot on the stats will identify them.
