There is a design fault with the rear of the drum... at the back of the drum there is a mild steel plate with holes and then there is a round heavy duty disc with spigots on it which locate from the casing to the drum.
After 1 years mild use and never overloading the machine the drum on its stop-go in the other direction has worn this plates holes to an oval shape which makes the large belt slack and then the belt snaps. [caution on overheating].
I have repaired using (high temp) liquid metal weld on the spigots and refitted to the drum. Left for 24 hours to set. The machine now has been running for 18 months with no problems.
Remember to wipe the chrome sensor just inside the door with vinegar.
