Hi, the symbol you so elegantly describe could be the "low washer fluid warning light" in other words, you need to top up your windscreen washer water bottle. To double check, have a look on the control stalk that you use when operating the wash/wipers and you should see a very similar if not identical symbol. Have your local mechanic check it out if you're worried about it. Have a good day.
