how do i tighten the handbrake of a 99 transit?

underneath the van, in the rod that attaches to the hand brake lever you will find, what looks like a tube with a nut at either end. you need to undo the lock nuts at either end of it (one of them is left hand thread) & turn the tubular part to take the slack out of the cable & re-tighten the lock nuts
