tried fitting afluidmaster bottom entry fill valve in a toilet cistern it has a sealing washer which is supposed toself seal when tightened but ifind it leaks should i put abead of silicone sealant around bottom before fitting valve for a tighter fit
Instead of silocone. Use plumbers mate, it is a plumbers putty which never sets. It is not expensive. Most plumbing supplies and builders merchants stock it.
