Mend Glow-worm 35x Flashing Power Cut

Glow-worm boiler 35x flashing code 88 what does this mean?

just had a power cut heating was off when power came back on boiler is making whirring sound and code 88 tried resetting it and switching on and off but wont light makes noise even when on standby
