Sorry this has taken so long. You probably have this fixed already but just in case someone else asks......."OE" displays when the machine doesn't drain after a 10 minute period. The machine shuts off.
Didn't even know the machine, a WM 2277HW, had one but there is a drain filter behind a "door" at the lower left front corner. Use a screw driver in between the edge of this door and the machine and gently pry it open. Doesn't take much to open it at all so don't go crazy on it.
Inside is a round grey "cover" that resembles an old radiator cap with the "wings" on it so you can grip it. Keep in mind that the machine has water in it. I placed a tray under the area to catch as much of the water as I could. Turn the cover counterclockwise and water will start coming out. Everytime you fill your "pan" just turn the cover clockwise until the water stops. Don't over tighten as it's only plastic. Again, it doesn't take much nor does it require pliers or anything.
After all the water is drained turn the cover counterclockwise until you can pull it out. This cover is integral to the filter and it all slips out easily. Clean the filter, which is a plastic basket sorta thing. Reinstall and you should be good to go. Now that I know it is there I will add cleaning it to my To Do list every once in a while. We've NEVER cleaned it in 4 years so maybe once a quarter to be sure?
Good luck.
