MDS 503 STUCK IN STANDY MODE?

MDS 503 IS STUCK IN STANDY MODE,AND WILL NOT SWITCH ON.THE STANDBY LIGHT COMES ON OK,BUT DOES`NT RESPOND WHEN PRESSED.ANY IDEAS,ANYONE,PLEASES?

This worked for me:
1. Disconnect power.
2. Mainboard - take out jumper cn451, near the battery.
3. Connect the power.
4. Now the minidisc is working OK.
5. Turn it off.
6. Put back the jumper.
