my battery for my vextra dvd player doesn't work?

I put the player away and forgot about it for a long time. It worked off the battery at the time. Now the battery either won't take a charge or the player won't work off the battery. It does work off the car charger and the house current adapter. Where can I get a battery for tis unit?
