How can I stop the loud mechanical buzzing from my WIDL 126 washer/dryer?

Whenever the washing machine or dryer function is set to any cycle, there is a loud, intermittent buzzing that occurs throughout, usually between drum cycles or sometimes after a draining sound. I think it may just be a motor somewhere inside that is knackered or rubbing against something, but that would be a total guess. Can anyone help?
