Mend Dyson DC07 Vacuum Dc07

My Dyson DC07 sort of spluttered and died!?

My Dyson DC07 burst into life as usual when switched on, but then,sort of spluttered and then just faded away. Now, it doesn't even attempt to switch on! Please help, I've got two weeks ahead of pine needles-I don't think my hand held Dyson will cope with all my vacuuming tasks!

Either...

The motor is broken
Or the on/off switch is defective
Or mains power is not arriving at the on/off switch

Somebody with confidence needs to investigate - the web site dysonmedic.com can sometimes be useful but it shows only how to dismantle and assemble - there is no diagnosis advice.
