I managed to find a sucessful fix for this, at least in my setup, though the issue may lie with the original controller.

Over time the shower was getting more difficult to turn on again if the power to the unit had been turnbed off. Eventually it refused to work & all the red lights were lit on the controller. I pulled the controller off & found water had worked its way inside. I replaced the two controller buttons with a pair from Maplins & checked the circuitry which I found to be OK. Attached the rebuilt controller to the pump unit but still no joy. I then bought a second pump unit off ebay & connected that to my controller & exactly the same thing happened. All red lights on & no response. To try & rule out the controller I bought a cheap new replacement one off ebay: Aqualisa Replacement Visage/Quartz Digital Control -NEW | eBay . Attached this to both units but still no response from either pump & a solid light on this controller.

I was about to kick the whole lot in the bin when I discovered that if I attached the replacement controller to the pumps, turned on the mains, left for say 20 seconds & with the mains still on pulled off the replacement controller & plugged in the old one, both pumps would work perfectly. To make this work easily in my installation, I bought an RJ12 6P6C cable & soldered it to the replacement controller so that I can easily switch it over from the original controller to 'boot-up' the pump unit. It as now been working faultlessly for a couple of months now even when the power is turned off.

Hope this helps!

just switch power of for a couple of days and then restart as normal- seemed to work fine after this

I have same problem with blue power shower. The blue LED for boost button on permanently. The on/off on does do anything.
