Condensation on Nearside headlamp of Citreon C3?

I have just replaced the Main beam bulb and the indicator bulb on my son's Cireon C3. Hoever since replacement the INSIDE of the headlight glass has become covered with condensation inside. The seal cover has been correctly fitted and the gasket around the outside of the seal cover is intact. What is causng this condensation

Your answer: Had my c3 for nearly 2 years, I dread the light bulbs going in the headlights, condensates up every time that back cover is removed. I remove the excess water, using a turkey baster, to vacuum the water out, then dry off using kitchen roll to soak up any excess, then put clear sealant around the casing, which does come off, for next time. Then sit in the car with the engine running for 15 minutes with all the lights on, the heat removes any excess moisture. Good luck!!

Having replaced N/S headlight bulb on citreon c3 i had the same problem, basically on the back cover of the headlight it has two prongs that have to locate into the bottom of the headlight itself. On the 0/S you can tilt the cover until the two prongs locate into the headlight then pull the wire clip into place with no problem, because of the battery compartment this carnt be done on the N/S. In order to fix this I ended up partically removing the front bumper in order for me to remove the headlight so i could 1. Dry out the headlight 2. fit the backing cover correctly. With the help of Haynes manuel not difficult about 1hr its the only way to fix problem, dont ever be fooled into buying a new headlight because when the headlight bulb blows you will have the same problem!

I tried to get Halfords to replace my bulb last year. They messed it up and after a lot of struggling I managed to sort it out myself. For a while after it was heavily condensated. Luckily it was summer. I drove around for a few days with the cover off and then. resealed the headlight cover. The problem with mine was that the wire that holds the cover in place wasnt completely horizontal and after a lot of struggling I managed to get the wire onto both clips and snapped it into place. It then completely cleared up. The handbook actually tells you to expect this. Dry it out and ensure it is sealed correctly. Good Luck

Any help here would be appreciated, as I have the same problem.

The car was in for a service so the garage replaced the OS headlight bulb and I notice a couple of days later that condensation was building up inside the light. Took it back and they assured me that it was all sealed correctly and that driving round with the headlights on for "a few days" would sort it. Well that didn't work. So, last weekend I left the headlight and main beam on whilst I cleaned the back of the car out (engine running!) and covered the light with a blanket to retain the heat with the cold weather - that hasn't worked either.
Having seen the price of a new headlight I guess I'm going to have to go back to the garage and have it out with them.
