Where is the reversing light switch on a Renault 19?

Not 100% sure about the diesel but the petrol cars have them fitted to the gearbox. If this is the case, it's a case of getting under the car, remove guard, drain gearbox oil, remove reverse light switch, refit new switch, refit drain plug, refit guard, refill fresh gearbox oil. I would consider checking wiring and making sure bulbs have good clean contact and good earth connection in their holders before diving under the car.
