electronic fault displyed on dash ?

dash on megane 55 plate states electronic fault but theres been no problem with start up however i can start car by just pushing the start button rather than needing to push clutch or brake pedal. I am worried this is something sinister and it did cut out last week when I started it but its been ok since. has anyome had same thing.
