how can i fix the handle on my VC934S-6?

The screws that screw into the machine & affix the handle to the main part of the vacuum cleaner have sheared off, therefore each time I pull the cleaner towards me the handle comes off completely. As it is such a super hoover I don't want to just throw it away. I would very much appreciate you letting me know if it can be fixed at all & if so how much it will cost.
