My thompson box wont allow to freeze the picture etc?

I have lost all of my library this evening following my box not allowing any pre set recordings, deleted every programme in my library, when I try to set a series or single programme for recording oit simply says that there is a fault and does not record anything. I have rebooted it several times and still nothing. This machine is absolutely rubbish and so so unreliable. Thompson need to rethink their product assistance or refund the cost of the machine. UNfortunately I have two machines and both of them while allowing us to watch TV do not record anything and have, as stated above managed to delete the whole library saying that each recording is corrupt, even those that have been saved for months. Both of my machines are ABOUT TO BE DUMPED IN THE BIN!!
