Mend Zanussi TC481W Dryer Door

How can I fix the door release button on my TC481W dryer?

The button which normally releases the door on my Zanussi dryer (product 91672004403) is no longer clicking and releasing the door which has to be pulled open manually; I can get the part but don't know how to fit it.

the door latch drops down the back side of the front cabinet and is held with 2 screws.you can sometimes use the otherside door release and swop them over if the wire is ok from the push release button.
