problem with electric windows - peugeot 405?

the button on the drivers side door that works the drivers and passengers side windows will not open the windows, however the passenger door button will open the passenger side window does any one have any ideas to fix this problem

carefully prise out the switches and make sure the multi plugs are still connected, if they are check the switches by using the one from the passenger door as it still works, a common problem is water dripping onto these switches when using the windscreen washers with the window open, I've had to replace my switches twice in 3 years
