Same problem as you guys!?

Our fridge freezer just stopped working. We have switched it off for 48 hours and nothing. the freezer is working but the fridge is not. I'm now wondering if I should try to replace sensors as suggested by most of you but because of the noise, I am assuming that the motor has gone??? how did you all know that it was the sensors??
