cold starting a diesel?

hi i have a citroen synergie 2.0 hdi 2002 . its takes a very long time to start up when engine is cold its never let me down but this morning as it was only 3 degrees it must have took at least ten seconds to fire up . do i need some new spark plugs as the batt is new and a 500 amp starting power ?

where would i find this is this one of the big relays under the bonnet were the fuses are?

Possibly, but it could just be the glow plug relay.

Sorry i ment to put glow plugs not spark plugs!!
