Did he mean a powerflush or a standard flush?
they are chalk and cheese. Rolls Royce and Mini ( and not a Cooper).
For many plumbers (and some heating engineers) a flush means dosing your system with a cleaning chemical, leaving it for a few weeks - no more than 4 - draining it down, re-filling the system, neutralising the water, dosing it up with corrrosion inhbitor and balancing the system.
That's the belt-and-braces approach. Some other professionals don't agree. And there may be other approaches that suit some people in the trade.
A powerflush is more complicated. It involves all of the above and some more active ways to clear any blockages in the pipework in your system. When it's done by an experienced powerflusher with a professional attitude a power flush can work wonders for a heating system. I've no idea whether it would be a good idea for your system without actually talking to you over the phone.
Do call if you would like some more information. We carryout powerflushes almost every day of the week and have a good reputation.

P.S. You don't mention where you live. Is it a hard-water area?
