Mend Gainsborough 2000x Strong Smell Switched

My electric shower emits a strong smell of fumes when it is switched on?

The shower is a Gainsborough 2000x. The smell has got worse over time and the fumes are now quite strong when it is switched on. I don't know who to contact about this.
